New Mexico Hospitality Association, Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum foundation partner to host travel & tourism job fair
New meXpo! 2017 will be a first for New Mexico
The New Mexico Hospitality Association is partnering with the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation to host a unique job fair dedicated to travel and tourism businesses in New Mexico on Sunday, May 7, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. The job fair is a part of the inaugural New meXpo! 2017, a New Mexico travel and tourism expo designed to showcase everything New Mexico destinations and tourism businesses can offer locals and visitors.
“We wanted the job fair to coincide with New Mexico destinations and tourism businesses ramping up their staffing to prepare for the summer tourism season,” said New Mexico Hospitality Association President & CEO Jen Schroer. “The tourism industry is such a vital part of New Mexico’s economy, and we wanted to provide tourism businesses with the opportunity to find and hire great hospitality professionals.”
“We are really excited to see what this event can become in its first year and in years to come,” said Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation Executive Director Jill Lane. “Travel and tourism is such a vital industry for our state, and so we wanted to establish an event for tourism businesses to showcase their destinations and travel packages directly to potential visitors.”
The event coincides with the 2017 New Mexico True Governor’s Conference on Hospitality and Tourism, presented by the New Mexico Hospitality Association, which begins May 7 with the Hospitality Golf Tournament and New Mexico Hospitality Official Pub Search (NMHOPS). The conference will be hosted at the Albuquerque Convention Center May 8-10 and includes the New Mexico Tourism Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony on the evening of May 9 at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque.
