What was your favorite part about the campaign?
As part of this campaign, besides meeting cyclists from all over the world, one of the absolute highlights was organizing school visits by the professional cyclists from Australia, Columbia, Mexico, Canada, and other countries, including the U.S.. The coverage of these school visits was extremely fun as youth of all ages became excited about cycling, meeting celebrities, and physical fitness.
What is something you learned from this campaign?
This campaign was taken to a new level this year with live coverage of the Saturday downtown crit. There were many components that all had to come together, with lots of different people, all of which was a learning experience.
What does being a finalist mean to you?
It is with great appreciation to be recognized for the many of long hours and dedication given far beyond any contract. It is about serving our communities and the recognition is appreciated for honor of that.
