UPDATE: Tourism Day has been rescheduled

Posted by:Cody
We have been informed that the Senate has cancelled activities pertaining to the 2018 Legislative Session on Tourism Day, and it is likely the House of Representatives will also be cancelling legislative activity on Friday as well.
NMHA, along with the New Mexico Tourism Department and the New Mexico Restaraunt Association, have determined to reschedule Tourism Day to better ensure we deliver on the purpose of this event. We will be moving a modified Tourism Day to Wednesday, Jan. 31, one day following the 2018 Hospitality and Tourism TRENDS. Details on this modified agenda will be shared soon.
The purpose of Tourism Day is to connect the hospitality and tourism industry with elected officials and advocate for New Mexico tourism during the session. Without any activity in the New Mexico State Capitol Building pertaining to the Legislative Session, this drastically limits our ability to make Tourism Day an event that succesfully connects legislators and industry professionals.
We apologize for this inconvenience. We are working to make sure Tourism Day will still facilitate meaningful connections and dialogue between legislators and industry representatives.
If you have already registered for Tourism Day, please note the following:
- Be sure to cancel any hotel and travel plans you have this week to avoid any penalty
- NMHA staff will be calling all registered attendees to make sure they received this notice and answer any questions/concerns
- NMHA staff will be discussing exhibit alternatives with those who already reserved an exhibit table

There has been a true collaborative spirit among several organizations and their teams to make Tourism Day a success. We greatly appreciate everyone's flexibility and willingness to adjust. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
