What was your first job in the hospitality/tourism industry?
I started out as a busser at TGI Fridays Winrock when they opened that location in 1993.
Who has helped/mentored you throughout your career?
My mother and wife have always been a support system for me throughout tough times and bouts of adversity.
What has been the highlight of your career?
I have had successful VIP events and a great feeling of being an unstoppable unit with my team. However, this nomination and making finalist for Top Hat is the highlight thus far in my career.
Red or Green?
A New Mexican would say both. And this is the case with me.
What is one suggestion or piece of advice you would share with young people entering the hospitality/tourism business?
Always look ahead, be patient and as you progress, stay calm and never jump to conclusions.
What is your favorite New Mexico travel experience?
Taking road trips through our gorgeous state and seeing our beautiful land and what it has to offer.
What is your favorite quote or piece of inspiration?
Success does not happen without failure, loyalty, and persistence.
What does being a finalist for the Top HAT Awards mean to you?
It means all of my dedication and hard work is worth It. It also means I have reached a new high in this industry to be proud of.
