The New Mexico Hospitality Association is dedicated to developing advocacy, educational and collaborative opportunities to further strengthen the hospitality and tourism industry in New Mexico.

Our commitment to educational opportunities through our vision to become the #1 resource for the New Mexico hospitality industry inspired the creation of the Hospitality and Tourism Scholarship Fund, with the purpose to provide students and continued learners in New Mexico the ability to pursue an education and career in hospitality and tourism.

The Hospitality and Tourism Scholarship Fund, powered by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, is an endowed fund that provides a $1,000 scholarship for hospitality and tourism students each year. After two years of building up the Hospitality and Tourism Scholarship Fund, NMHA was able to issue its first official scholarship at the 2017 Top HAT Awards Gala on November 14, 2017, to the School of Hotel, Tourism, Restaurant Management at New Mexico State University.

Did you know 1 in 12 jobs in New Mexico is supported by tourism? This industry is growing, which means we need the workforce to help sustain this growth. Your donation impacts the life of a New Mexican student who has a passion for hospitality. The last two years, this event served as the major fundraiser for the Hospitatilty and Tourism Scholarship Fund, powered by the Albuquerque Community Foundation. And this year, we will award the first scholarship during the ceremony.
